Cloud Stack

AANNEX is now taking a much more realistic path in meeting customers where they are on their cloud journeys and is aiming to become the standard in hybrid, multi-cloud services in this next phase of the cloud market. Extend Azure services and capabilities to your environment of choice – from the data centre to edge locations and remote offices – with Azure Stack. Build, deploy and run hybrid and edge computing apps consistently across your IT ecosystem, with flexibility for diverse workloads.

Microsoft Azure Stack:

Azure Stack allows customers to leverage various Azure cloud services from their own data centre and eases the transition to the public cloud for highly regulated or more security cautious organizations. Applications can be built and run for the Azure cloud and deployed either on Microsoft cloud infrastructure or their own datacentre without rewriting any code.

A multi-cloud management layer essentially extends Azure Stack to other public cloud platforms, including AWS and GCP.  To give the customers a single view of all of their apps and services regardless of where they sit. Azure Stack – brings a set of core services to customers' own data centres, such as virtual machines, storage, networking, VPN gateway, expressroute and load balancing, as well as platform services like functions, containers and database, and an active directory, identity services.

The Azure Stack runs on hardware from partner vendors, such as HPE, Dell EMC, Cisco, Huawei and Lenovo. It is priced in the same flexible manner as Azure public cloud, pay-as-you-go model.

AWS Outposts

AWS Outposts, a fully managed service by AWS. Delivers pre-configured hardware and software to the customer's on-premises data centre or co-locator space to run applications in as if cloud-native manner, without having to operate out of AWS data centres. Currently customers can configure their outpost with a variety of EC2 instances and EBS volumes for storage. Outposts natively support Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS clusters- any container-based applications, Amazon RDS instances for relational database services and Amazon EMR clusters for data analytics; with the machine learning toolkit, SageMaker, and Amazon MSK for streaming data applications promised after launch.

Google Cloud Anthos

Anthos is a new platform that promises to run applications on-premises in the Google Cloud and major other public cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.

Anthos is a combination of Anthos Config Management console for unified administration, policies and security across hybrid Kubernetes deployments, Google's Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and GKE On-Prem.  It's hardware-agnostic and can be run on customers' existing servers or VMware, Dell EMC, HPE, Intel, and Lenovo racks. Also, Anthos will let you manage workloads running on third-party clouds like Azure and AWS, giving the customer the freedom to deploy, run and manage applications on the cloud of their choice without requiring administrators and developers to learn different environments and APIs.

Oracle Cloud at Customer:

Oracle's Infrastructure-as-a-Service business has long provided a hybrid option call as Cloud at Customer. Oracle Cloud service brings together cloud infrastructure and platform services, such as database, big data and app development, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications like customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP) and human capital management (HCM), into customers' own data centres. Oracle provides converged Oracle hardware, software-defined storage and management services to run applications for customers. Oracle simply asks for data centre floor space, networking, and power, before implementing everything on-premises and managing the cloud services, complete with regular upgrades.
