Job Description

As a GCP Engineer, you will serve as a key delivery engineer for our cloud ecosystem of partners, customers, and service providers. You will assist Architects in the planning and design of GCP solutions for enterprise customers, as well as deployment, testing and cutover of enterprise-scale Google Cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions. You will be a technical expert on both cloud and on-premises infrastructure systems. You will apply your technical expertise in Google Cloud offerings to successfully, and efficiently, assist customers in their cloud adoption.

Responsibilities

Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery
Experience hosting an application on Google BigQuery using Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage.
Good understanding of cloud design considerations and limitations.
Networking principles and protocols such as IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, LoadBalancer, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN, etc.
Proficient in a modern scripting language (preferably Python) for automation of build tasks.
Knowledge of Application Monitoring using Google Stackdriver
Experience with Big Data on GCP - BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataflow
Prior experience working with: container technology such as Docker, version control systems (Github), build management and CI/CD tools (Concourse, Jenkins), and monitoring tools (App Dynamics, etc.)
Experience with infrastructure configuration management tools such as Terraform, Puppet and Chef.
Unix/Linux power user
Prefer Google Cloud Certified candidates. Understanding of Test-Driven Development with experience creating JavaScript-based test coverage
Ensure projects follow operating practices for Visible and enhance the processes as needed.
Ensure the quality of the project meets Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) guidelines.
Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level

Requirements

5 years or more of experience in Cloud Infrastructure and architecture
3 or more years of experience in designing, developing and deploying projects in GCP suite including GCP Suite such as Big Query, Data Flow, Data Fusion, Google Cloud Storage, Composer, Looker etc
3 or more years of experience in scripting such as python
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills are an absolute must
Proven track record of willingness and interest in learning new tools and technologies is necessary
Experience in an Agile environment utilizing Rally
GCP Certification Preferred
